    newborn infants. Neonatal refers to the first 28 days of life. We are level IIIA (GPC-2016) Neonatal intensive
    care unit with 10 bedded modern NICU setup with servo controlled warmers, oxygen blender, ventilators, bubble CPAP
    units, High flow units, phototherapy units, invasive lines and syringe pumps. We provide specialized care for preterm
    babies (>28 weeks gestation and/or >900 grams) with trained nursing staff. In house facilities for neurology,
    neonatal surgeries and diagnostic cardiology also provided for difficult cases. Difficult cases are being followed
    up in a specialized OPD ‘High risk clinic’ where they are being given focused and detailed care for healthy development

    in pediatric intensive care. We have four bedded Pediatric intensive care unit, for specialized and intensive care

  • i. Overview- The Child Neurology Clinic specializes in treating the full range of neurological, behavioral and developmental
    conditions in infants, children and adolescents. This basically involves expertise to diagnose, treat, and manage
    diseases, disorders, or dysfunction of the central and peripheral nervous system (brain, spinal cord, nerves, and
    muscles). These diseases include epilepsy, cerebral palsy, mental retardation, muscular dystrophy, headaches, metabolic
    and genetic diseases of the nervous system, learning, behavioral disorders like autism and hyperactivity, as well
    as nervous system complications of systemic diseases or infections (e.g.- meningitis and encephalitis), in infancy,

  • i. Overview-Improving perinatal and neonatal care has led to increased survival of infants who are at-risk for long-term
    morbidities such as developmental delay and visual/hearing problems. Moreover, many of these neonates (e.g. extremely
    low birth weight infants) tend to have higher incidence of growth failure and ongoing medical illnesses. A proper
    and appropriate follow-up program would help in early detection of these problems thus paving way for early intervention.
    
    High risk infants’ follow-up requires a multidisciplinary approach involving a team of pediatricians, child psychologist,
    pediatric neurologist, ophthalmologist, otorhinolaryngologist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, medical
    social worker, and a dietician. In this OPD, high risk neonates (NICU graduates) are being followed up regularly,
