Xổ số ba miền hôm nayThe Department of Psychiatry & Clinical Psychology at Bhaktivedanta Hospital & Research Institute caters to all – from children to the elderly. It holistically treats patients through full-fledged psychiatric management, psychological testings and therapies. Non-authoritative in its approach, the Department takes patient preferences into consideration and acts in their best interest in the long run. The Department follows good consultation liaison practices with doctors of other departments which helps it with the medical management along with psychiatric aspects.

The Department is licensed to admit patients involuntarily. Facility of 6 beds (3 for male and 3 for female patients) and 2 isolation rooms is assigned for psychiatric treatment at the Hospital. When required patients are admitted whereby supervised medications are given along with other therapies. Usually admission is for a period of maximum 14 days. If prolonged supervised admission is required patients are refered to rehabilitation centres.

• Mood Disorders: Depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, panic disorder, phobias, post traumatic stress disorder


• Thought Disorders: Schizophrenia, obsessive compulsive disorder


• Personality Disorders: Cluster A (schizoid, schizotypal, paranoid), Cluster B (antisocial, borderline, histrionic, narcissistic)


• Sleep Disorders: Insomnia, parasomnia, sleep phase disorders

• Behavioral problems in Mentally Challenged and Autistic children

EMERGENCY CARE

We provide acute emergency care for suicidal or violent patients, cases of drug abuse and withdrawal or for those who are confused and delirious. Electro Convulsive Therapy is given as and when required.

Helps individuals to deal with their psychological problems in a positive manner to achieve sound mental health. The assessment includes initial interview, diagnosis and psychometric tests conducted by our well qualified and experienced Clinical Psychologists.

Every adult who cares for children has a responsibility to guide, correct and socialize children toward appropriate behaviours. These adult actions often are called child guidance and discipline. Services offered at our Child Guidance Clinic include:
